John 14:6 (New Living Translation)
Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.
What is truth? We live in a world of subjective thinking. Today we will hear people say the phrase "my truth" or "your truth". The arrogance and pride of man in this time in history demonstrates that man believes he is the one who determines what is truth. Many have rejected God in this day and have rejected the truth of the bible.
But when we examine scripture we find number one that there is indeed a God. He is the one who determines truth. He is the one who created all things. He has created man in His image and given man freewill. But God has never stopped being God and is in control of all things.
Sadly, there will be many who will stand before Jesus Christ and hear the words "away from me I never knew you". They are not rejected by Jesus Christ simply based on their wickedness and their sin or because they are not good enough to get into Heaven. The reason the Lord will speak these words to them because they have rejected Him.
God stands with His arms open wide and day after day He calls out to humanity. Through so many vehicles of information today God is speaking to the hearts of people. But sadly man loves this world more than he loves God. Man rejects God because he loves self and the selfish sinful desires that exist within him.
The only way we can truly find life is finding Jesus. The life that Jesus speaks of is eternal life. Eternal life begins the moment we come to saving faith in Jesus Christ. No one can draw near to God nor enter into God's kingdom without faith in Jesus Christ. It is not my personal opinion that I have created, but it is what the Living God has said. What separates us from God is our sin. What reconciles us to God is the precious blood of Jesus Christ.
As Christians we have the most important and vital message anyone needs to hear. May we walk in love. May we be filled with the Holy Spirit and each day as we have opportunity share the good news of Jesus. May we live our lives to glorify and honor Him and may we prepare daily for the one who is returning to establish His kingdom upon the earth.
He truly is the way, the truth, and the life. He has demonstrated He is exactly who He claims to be through His resurrection. Because He has overcome death and the grave, we no longer have to fear death and we have an answer for the sin that destroys us on a daily basis. May we run to Jesus. May we surrender to Him as Lord. May our lives be placed in His hands. May we simply desire to glorify Him in everything.
Father I thank you today for salvation. I thank you for the gift of salvation. I thank you that everything we have in you is given to us as a gift by you. I thank you that we don't have to earn our salvation and I thank you that true life is found in Jesus alone. Jesus in everything my our lives glorify and honor you. May we be one as you and the Father are one. Father help us in our weakness and forgive us when we fall short. Fill us with your love and Spirit, have your way today in our hearts and minds. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
