Lord; Teach me Your Statues

Psalm 119:64 (New American Standard Bible)
The earth is full of Your goodness, Lord; Teach me Your statutes.
The earth is full of God’s goodness. There are many things that we take for granted on this earth. There are so many things that God provides for us on a daily basis. The word of God tells us that we enter His gates with thanksgiving and praise. When we come before the Lord with thanksgiving it prepares our heart to fellowship with Him. Too many in this generation are simply focused on self and what they want. Some believe the secret of life is coming to understand self. But it is self that destroys us. We are called to be led by the Holy Spirit in all things.
As we grow in Christ our desire is for the Lord to teach us His word. It is the Holy Spirit who leads and guides us into all truth. The Holy Spirit will never teach us anything or lead us to do anything that is outside the word of God or contrary to scripture. The word of God must become our obsession and our priority. The more we study the scriptures, the more we come to understand God in a deeper way.
We are bombarded daily with lies and deceptions from the enemy. Satan desires to capture our minds and influence us with lies and deception. But the truth of God’s word is sharper than any two edged sword. It destroys the lies of the enemy. As we come to know God and understand how good He truly is, the cry of our heart will be teach me Your statutes. When our hearts and lives are fully yielded to Christ is when we will see His life and character produced within us.
Prayer
Father I come to you today and ask you to search me and know me. Teach me to walk in your ways. Teach me to live on a daily basis according to your word. Father I pray that your will would be done in every area of my life. That you would prune and remove anything that would hinder what you desire to do. I pray this in Jesus name!
