The Heavens Declare The Glory of God
Psalm 19:1-2 (New King James Version)
To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork. Day unto day utters speech, And night unto night reveals knowledge.
Creation reveals the glory of God. For anyone to be able to look at the beauty and the magnificence of creation and reject the existence of Almighty God is simply the pride that exist within them manifesting. God declares His glory through all He has created. His fingerprints are all over His master piece.
When we look at the heavens and the vastness and the beauty of them it reveals the character and nature of God. God is without limit and He is without end. When we look at the stars in the sky and we look at the galaxies, it seems that they are eternal. We can only see so far, but there is so much more that we cannot be hold. But in seeing all of this and understanding this, it shows and demonstrates that our Lord and Savior is truly awesome.
When we live in awe of who God is it will cause us to live a life of worship. Worship is not merely the songs we sing, it is the very life we live. In all that we do we should have the desire to honor Him. When this becomes the reality we will no longer desire to live in sin, but instead we will simply desire to live for Him. Those who try to justify their sin while claiming to follow God, haven't truly come to know Him and haven't come to saving faith.
There are moments and times in which we should just get alone with God in His creation. Technology has caused life to become very busy and very distracting. We are usually distracted and consume with our smart phones. But if we will pull ourselves away from our devices and instead be willing to tune in and hear what the Living God is saying, He will speak to our hearts and it will eternally transform us.
Some struggle in their relationship with God because they haven't come to discern His voice and His leading. But the Father is always speaking to us through the person of The Holy Spirit. Often the Spirit of God will not only speak to us when we spend time studying God's word, but He will speak to us throughout thoughts and also desires. But one thing is always certain is His leading will never contradict what is written in scripture. Scripture reveals who God is and especially reveals His character and His nature. So we must measure all that we are hearing against the word of God.
Prayer
Father help me to behold the beauty and glory of creation. Help me to know you in a deeper way. To learn of your ways and to consecrate my life to you. Father if there is any way within me that is wicked, please prune it and remove it. Bring me to greater intimacy and maturity with you. May I be a fruitful vessel for your kingdom and at the end of my life may I hear well done good and faithful servant.
