1 Timothy 2:1-4 New International Version 2 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
Daniel 2:19-23 New International Version 19 During the night the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a vision. Then Daniel praised the God of heaven 20 and said: “Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his. 21 He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. 22 He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him. 23 I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors: You have given me wisdom and power, you have made known to me what we asked of you, you have made known to us the dream of the king.”
This morning as I was scrolling through social media the Lord impressed upon me the importance of praying for Donald Trump. Satan desires to destroy the plans and purposes of God before they ever come to fruition. We see this in abortion itself as the enemy targets the unborn and brings their life to an end before the purposes of God are establishes. Satan targets the heart of the mother who carries the child and deceives her into making the decision to end the babies life by viewing it as merely a fetus and therefore since it is a fetus, it is not viewed as a human life and the decision for abortion is made.
Many in the body of Christ fail to understand the importance of prayer, the power we have in prayer, and the authority we carry in Christ. God has so designed the earth that when He created Adam, He created him in His image and gave him authority over all creation. That authority was lost when Adam sinned, but it was restored when Jesus died in the place of all humanity and Jesus now gives His authority to those who follow Him and place their faith and trust in Him.
In first Timothy chapter two Paul calls Timothy and all believers to pray for kings and those who are in authority. The reason Paul says this is so important is "that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness". Paul also says "who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth". Our lives on this earth and the nation we live in is directly impacted by the ones who rule that nation. There are those who fear the living God and those who disregard God. Proverbs 29:2 states when the righteous thrive, the people rejoice;
when the wicked rule, the people groan. The people of a nation are impacted by their earthly rulers.
I don't believe Joe Biden is the rightful president. I believe he is a traitor and he is being used to destroy the purposes of the United States of America. I don't believe he is the one who is in control, but has been positioned as a puppet to put laws in place that are systematically removing every freedom that we too long in America have taken for granted. The media of our nation which is corrupt has distorted the truth and have even made those in the body of Christ to view Donald Trump as the villian.
Donald Trump is not a perfect man, but neither is anyone God has chosen for anything in life. I believe Donald Trump is anointed for government and anointed to lead America at this time to navigate the many challenges that exist to fulfill the purposes God not only has for America but for the nations of the world. America is a special nation. It isn't the new Israel and it is isn't a theocracy. But God has placed an anointing on America and has given America influence around the world. What happens in America impacts the rest of the world. The greatness of America as a nation has not been found inherently in itself, but has been because of the hand of God upon it. As America has turned its back on God more and more, the Lord has lifted His hand a little bit more and more, and today we find ourselves reaping the destructive decisions of past generations.
The enemy began to sow the consequences we are now facing through the sexual revolution that took place in the 1960's. At that time prayer was removed from public school, the word of God was removed, and we as a nation moved farther and farther way from God and His purposes. He has been knocking on the door of the heart of this nation, but sadly we have resisted Him each step of the way and now we find ourselves in a dire place.
Today we have a culture and nation immersed in sexual and gender confusion. We have a generation that is rising that has no knowledge of God and His ways. Because of this we continue to move toward the place of destruction and the plans of those who work behind Joe Biden are continuing to move us to the place of destruction. All of this should be a resounding alarm to those in the body of Christ in America. The question is why is Donald Trump and his leadership so important?
I believe God has prepared and anointed Donald Trump for this hour. His first term enabled him to experience and see the depths of corruption that is known as the deep state or the swamp. Those he thought he could trust in his own cabinet, he found out quickly he could not. He has had time to sit back, reflect, and prepare for his return to office.
Satan sees the anointing on him and therefore is trying to abort the purposes of God through him through lie, deception, and false accusation. We must remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood. We as the body of Christ are called to not only confront the powers and principalities at work in nations, but we are called to overcome them and see the purposes of God established in the earth. This is why it is important we not only understand the authority we carry, but we are faithful to intercede in this hour.
Jesus said this in Matthew 21:12-14 "12 Jesus entered the temple courts and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves. 13 “It is written,” he said to them, “‘My house will be called a house of prayer,’[a] but you are making it ‘a den of robbers.’14 The blind and the lame came to him at the temple, and he healed them." Jesus has called us to be a house of prayer for all nations. We must understand the seriousness of this hour and understand that He has called us to confront the Satanic strategies in place to destroy the purposes of God in this hour.
May we ask the Lord for eyes to see and ears to hear. May we seek to know His heart. May we be led by the Holy Spirit and pray in The Spirit on all occasions. There is a mighty battle before us and we are in a real season of war. The enemy will continue to escalate and rage, but we must stand strong in the power and strength of the Lord. We must be faithful to watch and pray. We must be faithful to pray and intercede. May we lift up America in this hour. May we pray that every purpose God has for our government be accomplished. May we pray for Donald Trump for wisdom and his safety.
Father we come to you today and ask you that your will be done. Father reveal to us your purpose and plan for America as a nation. Revive and ignite the hearts of your people with your fire and passion. Father may your hand be upon Donald Trump this day. May you protect, lead, guide, and direct him in this hour. May every purpose and plan you have for America be accomplish. Father help us as your people to be found faithful to watch and pray. Forgive us for our short comings and failure to pray. Give us endurance and perseverance in this hour to watch and pray. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
