You Will Keep Him In Perfect Peace

Isaiah 26:3-4 New International Version 3 You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. 4 Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal.

God is our rock. He is our fortress. The scriptures tells us those whose mind is set upon the Lord or whose mind is steadfast will be kept in perfect peace. We live in a world where many believe peace is only found in the absence of conflict. But with God it is not this way. The peace of God is beyond human understand. The peace of God exist in the midst of the storm. But the key is keeping one's mind and heart fixed upon the Lord.

We may wonder how is this possible. How is it possible to keep one's mind steadfast upon the Lord. A big part of this is immersing one's mind daily in the scriptures. When the scriptures immerse our mind and heart, we not only will find God transforming our lives, but it will also keep our mind fixed upon His promises.

God calls us to trust Him. There are moments when it may be very difficult to trust the Lord. We desire to lean on our feelings or our emotions. But the reason God calls us to trust Him is because He tells us He is our rock eternal. He is God Almighty who spoke all things into existence and holds all things together by His mighty power.

When we examine our circumstances and challenges in the light of who God is, we find we have nothing to fear or worry about. He is simply calling us to trust Him at all times because He is always faithful. He will never fail us. He will never leave us nor forsake us. Worry is simply based on a lie. When we truly come to understand this and let go of all worry and simply trust God, we will find that we will begin to experience the peace of God in all things.

Prayer

Father help me today to trust you. Help me to let go of the fear and worry. Help me to recognize your voice and keep my mind fixed upon you. You have a plan and purpose in everything. Though I may not fully understand all that you are doing, I pray you will help me to simply trust you and let go of all of my fears. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
