Call To Me and I Will Answer: Jeremiah 33:3

Call To Me and I Will Answer

Jeremiah 33:3 Christian Standard Bible

3 Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and incomprehensible things you do not know.

To know and understand the deeper things of God begins with prayer. Whenever we approach the word of God to study and spend time with the Lord, it should begin with time spent in prayer. He has given us His word to reveal who He is. His desire is for us to know the depths of His heart and that our heart and mind would become one with His. His ultimate desire with us is greater and deeper intimacy.

But we are not going to come to this understanding and revelation on our own. It is The Spirit of God that reveals us truth. He leads and guides us into all truth. It is impossible to know God and even have a relationship with Him without The Spirit of God at work in our lives. Our salvation is a work of God’s grace alone and because of the precious blood of Jesus, we are able to draw near without fear.

Our hearts cry should be to know the great and incomprehensible things. We should come with open hearts and with boldness asking the Lord to pour out into our lives greater revelation, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. To reveal the deep things of His heart to us. This only comes by prayer and crying out to Him.

Here we see the Lord says, “call to me and I will answer”. God isn’t saying pray and maybe I will respond. God isn’t saying call out to me and maybe I will answer. God says to us “call to me and I will answer”. If we will simply make prayer the priority of our lives, we will see our intimacy level grow with the Holy Spirit every day. Jesus showed us the importance of prayer because His very life on this earth was all built around prayer. He never did anything without first spending time in prayer. May prayer be the priority in all that we do.

Prayer

Father help me to make prayer a priority in my life. Guide and lead me into deeper intimacy with you. Teach me how to pray. Pour out into my heart and life greater revelation, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. May the deep things of your kingdom be made known to me and may my life be a house of prayer. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
