He will come again

He Will Come Again

Hebrews 9:27-28 NLT

27 And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment, 28 so also Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him.

Every person on this earth is destined to die once. Except for those who will be raptured, every single one of us at one point will face death. One of the great fears of people is the fear of dying. Those who have no relationship with Jesus Christ have no knowledge of what stands on the other side of death. Our lives on this earth are but a breath compared to eternity. We are but a vapor and when our time on this earth comes to an end, we will spend eternity somewhere. For those who know Jesus personally and have received the free gift of salvation, they will go to be in the presence of the Lord. But for those who rejected what Jesus has done, they will spend all eternity separated from God.

He who knew no sin has become sin for us (2 Corinthians 5:21). Jesus came to offer His life as a sacrifice for sin. The Father so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. God didn’t have to save us; He has chosen to save us. He didn’t have to have a plan for salvation, He simply could have abandoned us to ourselves and allowed us to destroy ourselves. But this is how much God loves us, while we were still sinners Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). We have done nothing to deserve salvation, but God in His mercy has saved us and provided a way for us to be saved.

Jesus is coming again. He is coming to call us home. He is coming to establish His kingdom. The world we live in becomes more sinful and wicked by the day. As man gives himself to sin more and more and rejects the truth of who God is, the wickedness and darkness of the enemy fills the earth. But this is not where our focus should lie. Our focus and eyes should be fixed upon the soon return of Jesus. Every day we should be abiding in Christ. Growing in our walk and relationship with Him. Being led by The Holy Spirit in all things. Being surrendered to the work and leading of The Holy Spirit. Our Lord and Savior is coming soon, may we diligently prepare our hearts for His soon return.

Prayer

Father thank you for your love and your grace. Thank you for sending your Son Jesus to die for our sins. Jesus thank you that you are coming soon and that you are returning to rescue us and establish your kingdom. Help me each day to fix my eyes on you. Help me each day to abide in your. May you prune and refine my life of anything that would hinder your work in me. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen!
