The Long Arm of Love

There are moments in life when you feel like you've fallen so far, sunk so deep, or drifted so far away that even God might not be able to find you. The silence around you feels deafening. The darkness? Suffocating. Maybe you've whispered to yourself, "No one sees me. Not even God."

But let me remind you: His arm is not too short to reach you.

“Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear.” — Isaiah 59:1

This verse is a lifeline. It tells us something we all need to hear: God has not lost track of you. He hears you. He can reach you — wherever you are.

Even in the Depths, He is There

Sometimes we’re not just down — we feel buried. Maybe it’s shame, grief, addiction, fear, depression, or disappointment. Maybe you’re surrounded by people, yet still feel unseen. David, the psalmist, knew what that was like. And he wrote:

“If I make my bed in the depths, you are there… even the darkness will not be dark to you.” — Psalm 139:8,12

There is no place so low that God won’t go there to find you. No pit so deep that His love doesn’t go deeper.

You Are Not Alone

Even if you’re crushed in spirit, Scripture says God is not far off:

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18

You may feel forgotten, but God has not overlooked you. He is closer than you realize — and closer still when you're hurting.

Jesus: The Full Extension of God’s Love

When we wonder how far God will go to reach us, we only have to look at Jesus. He left heaven to step into our brokenness. He sought out the lost. He healed the outcast. He stretched His arms on the cross to show just how far His love would go.

“Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine... and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?” — Luke 15:4

“Nothing... will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” — Romans 8:39

God doesn’t love from a distance. He moves toward us — again and again — He pursues us

You’re Never Out of Reach

Wherever you are today — in doubt, in pain, in silence, or in the struggle — I want to tell you something true:

You are not too far. You are not too lost. You are not beyond hope.

God’s love is coming for you. His arm is long enough. His love is strong enough. His reach is relentless. And if you let Him, He’ll lift you out of the darkest place and pull you into the light.

Receive this word of encouragement today. Take it as truth and turn away from the lie that would say you’ve outrun the love of God almighty. You simply can’t. He’s there. He’s a good, good Father.

A few practical steps:

Don’t isolate yourself. Surround yourself with brothers and sisters in Christ who can pray with you and build you up with encouragement. They really can provide a source of light when it's feeling dark.

Get into the Word of God. Truth will always triumph over a lie. The only place a lie can grow or flourish is in the absence of truth. The enemy is a liar and that makes him a loser when you’re armed with truth. Don’t be without it.

Praise God anyway. Psalm 22:3 says that God is holy, and He inhabits the praises of His people. (Paraphrased). If you feel far from God’s presence, start praising Him! His promise is that He will be there in the midst of it.

God’s arm is long enough to reach you, and His presence is close — even now.

Never doubt in the dark what you know to be true in the light.”

Love in Christ,
