Jeremiah 32:17 (ESV)

"Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you."

🏛 Background Information

Jeremiah 32 takes place during a dark and troubling time in Israel’s history. The city of Jerusalem is under siege by the Babylonians, and Jeremiah is imprisoned by King Zedekiah for prophesying that the city would fall. Amid this chaos, God tells Jeremiah to buy a field—an act of faith symbolizing hope and restoration beyond the current destruction.

In verse 17, Jeremiah prays to God, acknowledging His mighty power and sovereignty. Despite what seems impossible (Israel’s restoration), Jeremiah reminds himself that nothing is too hard for God—He is the Creator of the heavens and earth.

🙏 Personal Prayer

Heavenly Father, You created the heavens and the earth by Your great power. Nothing is too difficult for You. Remind me today that even when things look hopeless, You are still in control. Help me trust in Your strength and not my own. Teach me to walk by faith, not by sight. Thank You for always having a plan to redeem and restore. In Jesus’ name, amen.
