Remaining in His Love

Scripture: John 15:10 (ESV)

"If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love."

🌿 Background Context

John 15 is part of Jesus’ final conversation with His disciples before His arrest. In this passage, Jesus teaches about the vine and the branches, emphasizing abiding—staying closely connected to Him. Verse 10 continues this theme, showing that abiding is not just a mystical connection, but a practical lifestyle of obedience. Just as Jesus obeyed His Father and walked in perfect love, we are invited to do the same.

Jesus is not commanding cold, robotic rule-following; He’s offering a way of living that keeps us rooted in His love. Obedience is the doorway to intimacy with Him.

🙏 Personal Prayer

Lord Jesus,Thank You for showing me what it looks like to walk in love and obedience. I want to abide in You and remain close to Your heart. Help me to obey not out of duty, but out of devotion. Teach me to love Your commandments and trust that they are for my good. When I drift, bring me back. When I disobey, convict me gently and lead me in Your truth. I want to walk as You walked—close to the Father, filled with love, and led by obedience.Abide in me, Lord, and help me abide in You.In Your name, Amen.
