There came a time

Have you ever wished you lived in a different state or even another country?
I want to share something that happened to me, and I'm sure many of you can relate.
There came a time when I was so discouraged about where I lived. I found myself thinking, Things are never going to get better here.
When we travel, it often seems like everyone is happier. The cost of living appears better, businesses seem to be thriving, and the economy looks stronger. I found myself wondering, Why can't it be like that where I live?
Now I must confess, between you and me, I struggle to remember Bible verses and where I read them. But God has a beautiful way of bringing His Word back to us exactly when we need it.
Recently, God took me out of another one of my comfort zones. I walked into a local building feeling nervous. As I walked in, I was amazed. Everyone had a smile on their face and was willing to help in any way they could to make me feel welcome.
When I came home, I looked back at my daily devotional and the Bible verses I had read that morning. At first, I couldn't see how they connected to what I had just experienced.
Then, on Saturday, my grandson made a Facebook post. As I began to leave him a comment, without even planning it, these words came to me:
"Remember, you were made for such a time as this."
The moment I typed those words, God reminded me of Queen Esther.
In the Book of Esther, Mordecai told Esther:
"And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?" Book of Esther 4:14
Suddenly, everything made sense.
The day before, God had taken me out of my comfort zone not by accident, but by His perfect design. He had placed me in that building at that exact moment, surrounded by people whose kindness reminded me that God is always at work.
It also reminded me that God is still placing His people exactly where they need to be.
Yes, we may wish we lived in another state or another country. We may think life would be easier somewhere else. But what if God has you exactly where you are because someone there needs you?
He knows the exact time and the exact place where He will call you. He may lead you to another state or another country, or He may ask you to stay right where you are.
Either way, His plan is perfect.
Can you be the smile someone needs today?
Can you pray with someone?
Can you lend a helping hand, encourage a neighbor, or share the hope of Christ?
Never underestimate the difference one person can make when they are willing to be used by God.
God doesn't choose one state over another. He places His people where they are needed most.
You are not where you are by accident. Like Esther, God has placed you exactly where you are ,for such a time as this. ❤️🙏
A short poem
For Such a Time as This
I searched for greener fields to roam,
Believing somewhere else was home.
Yet God, in wisdom, gently said,
"I've ordered every step ahead."
A smile, a door, a helping hand,
Reminded me of His perfect plan.
Like Esther, called in time to stand,
He placed me here by His command.
I need not see the road ahead,
But trust the path where I am led.
For where He plants my heart to be,
Is where His purpose waits for me.
